BBC Proms Youth Choir Academy

Do you love to sing? Are you enthusiastic and willing to learn as part of a team?

Young people aged 16-21 are invited to join the BBC Proms Youth Choir Academy to develop their singing skills in a choral setting. Undiscovered voices from all musical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Rebuilding Pagodas

Rebuilding Pagodas - a joint education project between Aldeburgh Music, the Britten-Pears Foundation and DanceEast.

Inspired by Britten’s response to the sound world of the gamelan in The Prince of the Pagodas, yesterday (Sunday 28 June) young people from around Suffolk worked to create two new pieces as part of the closing events of this year’s Aldeburgh Festival.

Ipswich school choirs perform with the MSO in Ipswich car park

On Sunday 14 June school choirs performed with the Multi-Story Orchestra in Endeavour House car park, Ipswich.

As part of this year's Aldeburgh Festival, the MSO visited Ipswich and performed in Suffolk County Council's Endeavour House car park! Cantabile, one of the choirs from the County Music Service's Suffolk Youth Music programme, sung Alive by Kate Whitley (MSO founder and composer) alongside choirs from Ipswich schools (Northgate High, Sidegate Community and Rushmere Hall).

Aged 9+ and love to sing? Why not apply for the National Children's Choir of GB!

The NCCGB brings together talented young singers from across the UK. Since it was founded in 1998, the choir now has more than 200 members!
