Talented young musicians are invited to join Suffolk County Music Service for a season of excellent music making.

Suitable for brass, percussion, string and woodwind players, the ‘County Ensemble’ programme offers a varied range of activities throughout the year. This includes rehearsal days, a residential rehearsal course at Framlingham College, European concert tours and performances at Snape Maltings Concert Hall.

This year, Suffolk Youth Orchestra will also be working in partnership with Sony Games, University of Suffolk and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on an exciting composition, performance and recording project!

Vince Taber and David Stowe will conduct Suffolk Youth Orchestra. Vince is delighted to report:

After many years of being involved with Suffolk Youth Orchestra whilst being employed as Senior Brass Tutor with Suffolk County Music Service, I am very excited by the prospect of leading SYO into the next chapter of its successful life!

Although applications for this incredible programme close on Monday 1 October 2018 we would be happy to hear from you after this date.

You can find out more information and apply online. Alternatively please contact the Music Service by phone 01473 263400 or email county.musicservice@suffolk.gov.uk

The current season closes on 13 October 2018, where Suffolk Youth Orchestra are thrilled to be making a guest appearance at Snape Maltings Concert Hall with Switzerland’s young talent Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra. Tickets £4-12 available from Snape Maltings.
