Enhance and enrich your pupils’ musical learning by giving them the opportunity to play and enjoy the Indonesian Gamelan.

What is a Gamelan?

It is a traditional, percussion ensemble that is made up from sets of gongs, metallophones, and drums.

Authentic, tactile, world music, and cross-curriculum!

Suffolk County Music Service are offering this opportunity to schools for one-term loans from October 2018. Schools will receive CPD and supporting materials.

The Gamelan is sufficient for whole class use, from KS2 to KS4.
