Friday Afternoons

Created especially for Snape Maltings' national Friday Afternoons project, composer Luke Styles has written a set of 12 songs with librettist Alan McKendrick for this year.

Four songs were created in collaboration with children and young people across the country. One of these groups was from Suffolk - Thomas Wolsey School, Ipswich!

Titled 'All Howl At Once', Styles said:

"These Friday Afternoons songs have enabled me to embrace the fun, nonsense, humour, darkness and playfulness of a young person’s fantasy world...young people can make the absurd believable and both the ludicrous and banal exciting."

You can read more about this set of songs and download the resources from the Friday Afternoons website.
