Music For Youth Proms 2016

Regional Festival Series

This series brings thousands of young people together across 50 venues in the country to make up 'the world's largest youth music festival'!

By taking part you'll get the opportunity to perform your music and gain valuable feedback from music professionals. Any type of group and genre can enter but you must be of at least two performers, e.g. rock band, jazz trio, gospel choir or brass ensemble.

In 2017, Snape Maltings hosted one of two Regional Festivals for the East of England. If you would like to take part next year, you can find out more information from MFY online.

National Festival

This festival brings all genres of music together for a spectacular week of young people's music-making. To apply for a place in next year's festival, information will be posted on the MFY website.

Festival Fringe

The Fringe provides a wide range of activities, outdoor stages, workshops and collaborations with professional artists for all children and young people involved in the National Festival.

MFY Proms

Thousands of children and young people are given the opportunity to perform at the Royal Albert Hall amongst some of the UK's best jazz bands, chamber groups, rock bands and choirs.

Inspiration Series: Primary Proms

Primary Proms aim to open up the world of music to children and young people in their local area. In 2016, MFY held a Primary Prom at Snape Maltings Concert Hall. To apply for tickets to next year's Primary Prom, visit the MFY website.

If you play or sing in a band, why not enter to take part in a MFY Frequencies event? This series will bring you together with professional artists at iconic gig venues across the country.
