Beginner ensembles

Suffolk Youth Music beginner ensembles are for:

  • children and young people in Years 3-6 (Key Stage 2) and in their first year of learning
  • pupils who receive Key Stage 2 Whole Class Ensemble Teaching lessons with a County Music Service tutor at school

Also known as 'First Access Ensembles', these ensembles offer an excellent introduction to group music-making for players at a standard equivalent to grade 0-1.

Starting from Tuesday 8 January 2019, these programmes provide opportunities for all instruments.
